Sustainability & Fashion - The Facts

Homeopath philosophy states that, disease occurs when we do not live in accordance with the laws of nature. When we move away from nature, and from our connection to the planet, we create dis ease.

Nature provides the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food that we eat. When we disconnect from any of these points, we become unbalanced. Nature provides the chemical configurations for our patents for medications. From traditional healing plants, we synthesise their chemical intelligence to reproduce the same reaction. ibuprofen comes from the bark of the willow tree. Valium comes from the herb valerian. Nature holds all the wisdom for our health and wellbeing.

Walking in the forest, or in nature, is grounding, recharging and fostering our connection to the planet. This is where we feel connected and are best able to reach our potential. Wearing clothing made from natural fibres aligns our energy, helps our skin to breathe and uses natural resources which have little impact on the planet.

Modern synthetic high street mass production is damaging to bio diversity, the eco system and the individuals who handle toxic chemicals to produce high fashion, and of course to the consumer. These garments, made for 'man made' synthetics do a poor job at clothing us. they release micro plastics into the water ways an pollute our oceans. They are filing land waste all over the plant and we don't know what to do with them.

As of 2021 C&A now produce all their jeans in Germany rather than outsourcing to China. They believe that the young generation are willing to pay 80 euros for a pair of jeans, which previously cost 25 euros. They are reducing their carbon footprint & waste, creating local jobs, and able to make smaller batches of sizes, and in doing so, are leading the future in our sustainability revolution. The consumer has the power to choose with their purchases, and motivate brands to build responsible and sustainable clothing that is non toxic and helpful for the wearer.

We are at a moment where we can choose collectively how to bring back greater balance to the planet, but at the same time, we are also choosing to do this for our own health as well. When we help the planet, the planet will help us.
